Leading hardware supplier Avocet Hardware received Kitemark accreditation for its new ABS Snap Secure Door Cylinder at the G09 Regional Exhibition at Wembley. The security door cylinder is the most secure on the market. It's pick resistant, bump resistant and incorporates Avocet's Snap Secure technology. It passed PAS024 testing with flying colours and doesn't require a security handle or cylinder guard. |

In the toughest market in living memory, sales of the industry's leading hardware supplier are up on last year and up on budget. In July, Avocet Hardware's sales were 7.9% ahead of the same month in 2008 and 8.2% ahead of budget. And it's part of a trend. In the three month period to the end of July 2009, sales were 4.7% ahead of the same period last year and 4.17% ahead of its annual budget. |

As window fabricators and installers diversify, leading hardware supplier Avocet hardware is seeing sales growth in new areas. Sales of bi-fold door hardware have increased by 30% year on year from December 2007 to December 2008 and Managing Director Kevin Harvey believes this trend will continue. "More fabricators are adding bi-fold doors as they look to increase sales through diversification. We're able to supply our customers with quality products to help them take advantage of this growth area. I'm certain we'll see our sales in this area continue to grow." |
