U-Fit: A Modern and Successful Window and Door Manufacturer- 21/11/2008

Coventry-based Armstrong Industries along with its U-Fit.co.uk and DoorExpress.com divisions is one of the Midlands? most successful window, door and conservatory manufacturers with trade sales throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

U-fit.co.uk was set up 11 years ago by John and Ann Armstrong and has enjoyed phenomenal growth since it was launched. It specialises in manufacturing do-it-yourself conservatories and operates from a new hi-tech factory which is heavily automated to reduce costs and produce consistently high quality products at a very competitive cost.

While other glazing manufacturers find their sales static, Armstrong Industries? U-Fit revenues are 30% higher than the corresponding period a year ago and the firm is producing more than 550 windows and 140 door sets a week.

All windows, doors, patios and conservatories are fabricated using the 70mm internally beaded Synseal Shield system which the company has manufactured exclusively for more than 10 years.

U-Fit has been making PVCu residential door panels for more than 10 years and has now launched a Signature range which includes a number of innovations offering what the company believes is the most competitive range of residential doors available, feature for feature, in the UK.

These include a specially developed silicone glazing tape which eliminates glass slippage and provides total weatherproofing against all conditions which is manufactured by Avocet Hardware to ensure high security, durability and attractiveness across the range.
