Advanced Windows chooses Datum for its versatility- 21/11/2008

Advanced Windows, Scotland's leading manufacturer of windows, doors and conservatories, has chosen Datum, the new in-line handle from leading hardware supplier Avocet Hardware. Advanced Windows, which makes 1000 units per week from its manufacturing facilities near Glasgow, first used Avocet Hardware 14 years ago.

Advanced Windows offers its customers custom-built windows. Owner Mark Watson believes it is important to offer a premium handle which is why he chose Datum. He comments: "We use Datum across our range because it is versatile and suits all types of windows. In the past we would have used different handles on casement and tilt and turn windows but homeowners complained because they didn't match. Now if we're providing two different types of windows we can supply matching hardware."

"Datum is also available in a wide range of colours. Currently the most popular colours are silver and gold but we believe that once customers see the choice they'll start using the other colours too. It's a great point of differentiation. Handles are often the first thing homeowners see. Datum enhances the features of a window and makes it look more aesthetically pleasing."
