What makes Avocet different from our competitors is that we manufacture, test and distribute our product direct from our factories and suppliers in the Far East and Europe. To ensure that we meet with the industry standards and legislation we have established at our UK site in Brighouse an independently accredited test facility, which meets with the full requirements of BS En ISO9001;2000. Our products are regularly tested to ensure they comply with the relevant UK and European directives for product performance.

This facility is vital in ensuring that we continue to deliver our promise to make the product fit for purpose and available to our customers. We have continually updated the facility and adapted it to meet the ever changing needs of our industry. Many of our customers have used the facility in the past to test their own doors and windows for both security and weather testing.

As well as mandatory requirements it makes commercial sense for Avocet to demonstrate compliance with industry specifications, both established and at the consultation stage. Our commitment to new product development as demonstrated in our 2009 catalogue is backed by this commitment and the in-house testing facility.
