Avocet awarded Kitemark accreditation for ABS Snap Secure Cylinder at G09 show- 18/10/2009

Leading hardware supplier Avocet Hardware received Kitemark accreditation for its new ABS Snap Secure Door Cylinder at the G09 Regional Exhibition at Wembley. The security door cylinder is the most secure on the market. It's pick resistant, bump resistant and incorporates Avocet's Snap Secure technology. It passed PAS024 testing with flying colours and doesn't require a security handle or cylinder guard.

Throughout the show, Avocet's stand had a continual flow of people eager to find out more about the new ABS cylinder from Avocet staff, as well as viewing video testimonials featuring Police Crime Prevention Officers and locksmith experts. Avocet also showcased its Easy Fit 3D Hinges which make fabrication and installation quicker and easier, and looks fantastic, and its new composite four hook door lock and 3D composite door butt hinge.

Managing Director Kevin Harvey comments: "There was a real buzz on the stand and the feedback we received on the new products was excellent. We were fully occupied showing the products on both days. And we were delighted to receive our Kitemark certificate for the ABS cylinder at the event."

As a principal sponsor of the annual G09 Awards, Kevin Harvey presented the award for specialist of the year to Universal Arches. Kevin adds: "Even though the industry is going through a difficult time there are many companies who continue to do well and raise standards. We've always been a supporter of the awards as it is a great way to recognise what companies are achieving."
